THE 8th MARYPORT BITTER & BLUES FESTIVAL - UK  Fri 28th, Sat 29th and Sun 30th July 2006
Delta bluesmen Honeyboy Edwards, Homesick James, Robert Lockwood Jnr are the proposed headliners for the 8th Maryport Bitter and Blues Festival. Other proposed artists include Eric Sardinas, Tony Joe White, Geno Washington and The Purple Aces and Hamilton Loomis, all from the US and Paul Jones and Dave Kelly, Chris Farlowe with The Norman Beaker Band and Trafficker representing some of the best of British Blues. A major act for the Sunday will be announced soon. The major sponsors of the 2006 festival are Jennings Brewery, The Northern Rock Foundation, and West Lakes Renaissance.
