HERBIE GOINS joined the great Eric Delaney Band, and whilst  touring with them in the UK decided  to move to England . He then went on to join the Chris Barber Jazz Orchestra.
But the call of the Blues was too strong for him, and so he became the official singer  in
Blues Incorporated  with  Alexis Korner, considered to be the Godfather of the  White Blues.  Herbie was singing with musicians such as Dick Heckstall Smith, Jack Bruce, Ginger Backer, Danny Thompson, Phil Seaman, and many others. The albums of this time are unforgettable  Live at the Cavern” and “Red Hot from Alexis”.

After some years with Alexis Korner,  Herbie forms his own R & B.  Band  with musicians like John McLaughlin  on   guitar . Soon Herbie became one of the favourite singers of the Mods, at all the legendary London Clubs, such as the Flamingo and Marquee. His song Number One in Your Heart” became a  Mods hymn .

During this time,  there were many memorable  sessions of  Herbie with Otis Redding  and his own band  The Nightimers, and John Lee Hooker , and even with Jimi Hendrix, who was still  unknown at the time.

Herbie is still one of the finest exponenets of Blues & Soul on the circuit with a velvet voice dripping in emotion, and a great stage performer too.
